LIKI TIKI MOTU PICNIC
Tour beautiful Cook's and Opunohu Bays, swim and feed the rays on a shallow white sand bar.
For those who don't want to get wet, the boat sits high in the water, assuring a great view of the action.
Masks and snorkles are provided. Around noon, the boat takes you to a "motu" (an islet), where the bar opens ( rhum punch, beer, fruit juice and water), the barbecue is started (fish & chicken) and a variety of salads and fruits are laid out. After eating; you have time to snorkle, sunbathe or look at the shells on the beach.

Duration: 5 1/2 to 6 hours - Operating days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The adventure began 40 years ago, when three young Californian men, Hugh Kelley, Jay Carlisle and Muck McCallum created the Bali Hai Hotel, after the name of a famous book and movie by James Michener.
The Bali Hai Boys gained fame in USA with writer Eugene Burdick and a photographer from LIFE. Young and enthusiastic for Polynesia, they soon were the social center of Moorea, with famous parties, and their "Liki Tiki" canoe...
Hiro, Hugh Kelley's son, inherited the Bali Hai Boys' knack for entertaiments, and is now leading great activities. The Liki Tiki is not leaking anymore, but the spirit is still there, and spirits too !
